Membership Database Update July 12, 2010
As most of you are aware, St. Peter’s maintains a database of all the families in the parish. The database contains a mailing address and telephone number for each family. We use this database to distribute regular communications via mail (such as the Christmas letter, Stewardship mailings, VacationBibleSchool information, etc.) and to assist our clergy in contacting people in times of need.
One failing of the database at present is that while it can tell us about the families in the parish, it gives no indication of the individual people within each family. This often leads to oversights when we are contacting parishioners about particular programs.
The program we are using to track the families in the parish does have the capacity to also track information about the individuals in the family; it is just that at present that information has not been entered to the program.
This summer, we have commenced a project to contact each family in the parish to ask if you would assist us in updating our database with the names and ages of each individual in your family. A team of telephone volunteers will begin calling during the month of July.
Of course, if you are uncomfortable providing the additional information to us, simply let the telephone caller know. We do hope you will consider providing the requested information so that we can better keep you informed of parish activities.

Organ Replacement Status
June 29, 2010
On Tuesday, June 8, 2010 the Organ Replacement Committee hosted a second discussion group to review options for replacing the decommissioned pipe organ. This discussion group focused on various options for a new electronic or pipe organ. Representatives of various organ vendors were in attendance.
Click here to review the minutes of the discussion group.
After the discussion group, it was decided to hire 3 independent organ consultants to review our findings to date and add their comments. Once that review is complete, a spreadsheet outlining our various options will be distributed to parishioners in advance of any Vestry to decide how to move forward.
